Just a bit about me..

I have worked for many years within the community sector and specialise in providing support for individuals, families and groups to gain insight into challenges that they are facing. By identifying individual strengths and working towards meaningful goals that uphold personal core values individuals gain an increased sense of wellbeing and hope for the future.

I am experienced in assisting people, of all ages and backgrounds, to find their unique purpose and role in life that leads to whole-life satisfaction and overall wellness and happiness.

‘Seedfaith’ Coaching

I am convinced that people are their own best experts and are resourceful, having the internal ability to find solutions to any of the challenges we can face in life.

My coaching approach will assist you by exploring your current reality, setting meaningful goals, exploring options, identifying obstacles and finding solutions. The coaching process is proven to be beneficial for anyone looking to make positive, long lasting change and no matter what stage you are in life, coaching can assist in transitional change management to achieve a higher level of personal satisfaction.

I believe that everyone has a unique purpose, a life calling if you like, something that is unique only to oneself. Everyone is gifted with a ‘seed’ that forms who we are and contains everything we need to enable us fulfil our purpose in life. Given the right conditions, this seed will grow into exactly what our Creator intended us to be.  However, if those conditions aren’t met fully, we will struggle to fulfil our fullest potential and experience our dreams and life’s goals.  There is always hope for change and a new beginning, in fact, just adjusting something small can make a huge difference. Drawing from the concept of the ‘internal seed’, and the ‘faith’ that we can access the resources required, I believe we can achieve far more that we thought possible.

My purpose is to assist you to explore the possibilities planted deep inside you, drawing on your strengths and values, identifying any obstacles or challenges that are holding you back, overcoming them, and realise your fullest potential.

Specialised Services - Emotionally Based School Avoidance Coaching

Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) is a term used to describe children and young people who have difficulty in attending school due to emotional factors, which can result in prolonged school non-attendance. Children or young people in this category often want to go to school but find it difficult to attend due to many competing factor including anxiety, stress, bullying, pressure to perform academically, however it is highly individualised as every child’s experience is unique.

Over many years I have worked extensively with youth, parents, families and agencies to support lasting change including with school and academic retention. As a result of evidence that anxiety related school non-attendance is significantly on the rise, I undertook research through my MSc Thesis on Emotionally Based School Avoidance and Coaching as a support for parents and families. My research focused on the experience of the parent who often feel alone, isolated, stressed and overwhelmed with the complex issues associated with EBSA and the impact of coaching as a support for parents. Participants expressed that coaching, whether through Peer Support Group or One to One Coaching provided a non-judgemental, supportive, and reflective space for them to find their own solutions and build confidence when dealing with EBSA.

With a background working as a youth and family support coach, I provide specialist coaching for Emotionally Based School Avoidance and a space for individuals to explore the complex issues associated with EBSA, facilitate the identification of obstacles and promote a solution-focused approach when dealing with a child’s school non-attendance.

Overall, by providing a safe space and asking insightful questions, I can assist you to access your inner intuitive wisdom that can lead to making, and experiencing, exciting and fulfilling life decisions and changes.

I also offer to visit schools, resource centres and other community based agencies as a guest speaker for parents and stakeholders regarding EBSA and coaching supports, to give insight into the voice and experience of the parents and families who are experiencing school avoidance.
